Altaria Skeleton

Surprise, surprise! Altaria doesn't have the birdy like wings everybody thinks it has. Altaria is a dragon pokemon, so no birdy stuff here.
Altaria is very bird like in most of it's aspects though. The most distinct feature that makes it seem like a bird is it's head, and more so it's beak. This bird like beak is used to pluck berries from trees and help it maintain it's feathery fluffy wings.
The winds have three long fingers. The bones are not that strong, but they don't need to be. Altaria is very lightweight. It has hollow bones and low body mass. It's fluffy wings help it to stay in the airs using air currents.
It's large ribcage holds huge lungs. It needs big lungs to be able to extract the most possible amount of oxygen from the air in high altitudes.


This is the only Pokemon skeleton I really paid attention to the hipbones! I am no anatomist!!! I have little knoledge of animal bone structure. But since these are Pokemon, not animals, I think it's ok to just let these be artistic inspirational pictures more than anatomically real-world-like correct
